ELITE COMBAT MMA INTERCLUB RULES
.Interclub  MMA fights are LIGHT CONTACT and under MODIFIED Unified Amatuer Rules.

All fights are held in a Cage.

INTERCLUB fights are 2 x 2 min rounds.

7oz MMA Sparring gloves (RDX recommended)

Shin and Instep pads

Shorts

Rash guard or T-Shirt tucked into shorts

Groin Guard and gums shield

Fighters matched by weight (Normally 2kg difference) Not weight divisions.

No decision ( To gain experience and help control contact)

Rounds 2 x 2min

Controlled contact.

Head shots allowed (Controlled contact)

Ground and pound allowed to head and body (Controlled contact)

Submissions allowed but not fully applied and not scored, Match will continue to allow all fighters to experience full time limit

No Spiking, neck cranks, heel hooks etc

All normal Amateur MMA rules to be applied.

MAIN RULE – This is a friendly competition to allow novice fighters gain experience in the cage against a opponent they do not know. Contact will be strictly controlled. Anyone wanting to go full out and ‘win’ need to enter a real fight, this is not for you!

Spectators - Adults £5 , Juniors £3

The add to the Unified Amatuer Rules the modifications as explained at the pre Fight rules meeting.

A quick overview of the modifications of the rules are...

1, Shorter rounds , ie 2 minutes instead of 3 minute rounds

2, Fighters wear shin pads.
